#171 (Slow Cook Jambalaya) - Need (1) Jambalaya recipe kit, (1) lb. chicken cut into cubes, (1) lb. Shrimp, (1/2) lb. diced sausage, (1) 28 oz. can diced tomatoes, (1) diced onion, (1) chopped green bell pepper, (1) chopped celery stalk, (1) cup chicken broth, (2) cups cooked rice and (1) tsp. hot sauce.
1st) In a slow cooker (crock pot), combine all ingredients, (Except for Shrimp and Rice), cooking on low for about 7 hours.
2nd) Then stir thawed Shrimp into crock pot, cook for about 5-10 minutes (until shrimp is thoroughly heated).
3rd) Discard bay leaves and spoon mixture over a bed of cooked rice. Enjoy!
TIP: To cook rice, boil (2) cups water (less water if want stickier rice) and then add (2) cups of rice. Turn stove to simmer, cover pot and cook until rice is tender. Done!
