#233 (Chicken Makhani) - Need (1) Lb. boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into bite size pieces, (2) Tbsp. Peanut Oil, (1) finely chopped Shallot, (1/4) chopped white onion, (2) Tbsp. Butter, (1/4) cup plain Yogurt, (1) cup half and half cream, (1) cup tomato puree, (1/4) cup water, (3) Garlic Cloves (minced), (1) TBSP Corn Starch and ONLY (2) TBSP of the Recipe kit spice blend. *Best served over cooked Rice.
1st) Heat (1) tbsp. Oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Sauté shallot, garlic and onion until soft and translucent. Stir in butter, and ONLY 2 TBSP of the Chicken Makhani Spice mix and cook for 1 minutes.
2nd)Add tomato sauce and cook for 2 minutes stirring frequently, Stir in Half N Half and Yogurt. Reduce heat to low, and simmer for 10 minutes- stirring often. *Remove from heat and set aside
3rdd) Heat (1) tbsp. oil in a large heavy skillet over medium heat. Cook chicken until lightly browned, about 10 minutes. Reduce heat, then stir in a few spoonful’s of sauce, and simmer until liquid has reduced and chicken is no longer pink. Then stir cooked chicken into sauce.
4th) Mix together corn starch and (1/4) cup water, then stir into the sauce. Cook for 5 to 10 minutes, or until thickened.
Serve over a bed of cooked rice. Enjoy!
