This decedent delicious juicy hamburger steak features brown gravy with sautéed onions and mushrooms. A meal the whole family will love.
#391 (Hamburger Steak w/Onions & Gravy) – Need (1) Lbs. Lean ground Beef, (1) cup thinly sliced onions, (1) Cup Beef Broth, (1) egg, (1) TBSP Vegetable oil, (2) TBSP Flour, (1) TBSP cooking Sherry (1) tsp Worcestershire sauce, and (1) Hamburger Steak recipe kit.
1st) Combine beef, egg, Worcestershire sauce and the Spice pack from the recipe kit. Mix well!
2nd) Now form approximately 8 balls and then flatten into patties.
3rd) Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Fry the patties and onions until nicely browned, about 4 minutes on each side.
4th) Remove patties (ONLY) and KEEP ONIONS and Drippings in the skillet. Remove patties keep them warm on a side plate.
5th) Sprinkle Flour over onions and drippings in the skillet, use a form and scarp bits of the beef off the bottom as you stir (about 1 minute)
6th) Gradually stir in the Beef Broth and simmer and stir over medium-low heat for about 5 minutes, until gravy thickens.
7th) Turn heat to low and return the hamburger patties back into the skillet with the onions and gravy
8th) Cover and simmer for another 10-15 min. ENJOY!!!!!!
