Jazz up your stuffing this year with rich, flavorful corn bread and spices. This will become a family favorite.
#435 (Corn Bread Dressing) - Need (3) Cups of crumbled corn bread, (2) Cups water + (3) Tbsp. water, (1) Cup chopped Celery, (2) Eggs beaten and (1) Corn Bread Dressing recipe kit.
1st) Prepare your basic/plain corn bread according to the cooking instructions on the package. Set aside to cool off
2nd) Preheat the oven for 350 degrees. Grease an 11 inch by 7 inch baking dish or pan. Use spray, oil or butter.
3rd) In a large skillet over medium heat melt the butter and add in the celery and cook for 7 minutes.
4th) Stir in (3) TBSP water along with the recipe kit spices and cook for an additional 1 minute, stirring most of the time making sure the spices get toasted and not burned.
5th) In a large bowl add in the water, eggs, celery and spices from skillet, and 3 cups of the corn bread (crumbled)- MIX WELL
6th) Pour the mixture into your baking dish and place in oven UNCOVERED. Cook for 35 minutes, remove and let it rest for 5 minutes. ENJOY!
