This creamy cheese soup is made up of beer, cheese and crumbled bacon in a creamy thick chicken broth. What a great soup to serve on a cold winter night.
#460- (Beer Cheese SOUP) (1) 12 Oz. package of sliced bacon, (2) 12 Oz. cans of beer, (2) Cups chicken broth, (1) lb. of processed cheese cubed (Velveeta type cheese), (1/2) lb. of grated sharp cheddar cheese, (2) Carrots sliced, (2) large celery ribs chopped, (2) TBSP butter, (2) TBSP flour, (1) tsp. Worcestershire sauce, and (1) Beer Cheese Soup Recipe Kit.
1st) Cook the bacon right away & set aside when completed.
2nd) In a large soup pot melt the butter on medium heat. Add in the carrots and celery and cook for 10 minutes.
3rd) Add in The Recipe Kit spices and cook for 1 minute- stirring often
4th) Add in the flour and cook for 1 minute- stirring often.
5th) add the broth, beer and Worcestershire sauce and cook for 15 minutes.
6th) Add in both cheeses- add in small batches at a time. Once melted add in the cooked bacon crumbles. Cook or 5 more minutes- SERVE & ENJOY
Tips: top each bowl of soup with additional cheese and bacon crumbles or be daring and try popcorn!
