Our chef inspired ham and bean soup recipe gives great flavor from the smoked ham chunks, fresh vegetables and spices. This is a great wintertime favorite. The kit includes the recipe card, no guess work.
#440 (BEAN & HAM) - Need (2) Cups Chopped Ham, (3) 15.5 ounce cans of Great Northern Beans (Drained), (1) Can 15.5 ounce can of White Hominy (drained), (8) Cups of Chicken Broth, (2) large Carrots sliced, (5) Celery Stalks Chopped, (4) TBSP Butter and (1) Bean & Ham Soup recipe kit.
1st) In a large soup pot on medium heat, add the butter and once melted add in the Celery, Carrots and cook for about 7-10 minutes stirring often.
2ND) Add in The Recipe Kit Spices and toast for about 1-2 minutes.
3rd) Now add in the Broth, Ham, Beans and Hominy. *Make sure to drain the Beans and Hominy! Cook for 30 minutes or until the veggies are tender.
*Tip: Serve with corn bread or your favorite bread!
